Google is expected to hold its annual Game Developer Conference 2019 from March 18-23. Ahead of the five-day event, the tech giant has sent out invitations to a keynote event that will take place on March 19. Te invite is bereft of any concrete detail as to what the tech giant will release on that date. The invite contains details of the date, venue but what is striking is the part that read “All will be revealed at the Google Keynote.

This possibly is an indication that the tech giant will release a new games console and even games software. There are speculations that Google could reveal the rumoured streaming service known as Project Yeti. The service could come with a console and controller. Alternatively, the keynote could simply point to the expansion of the recently announced and beta-tested Project Stream service.

All feelers point to the launch of a hardware gaming console for running the Yeti service.  Yeti is also said to include a hardware controller that’s used to play the games, developed by Google’s hardware team, according to a report from The Information. Another report suggests that Google is pushing in three directions: a game streaming service (codenamed Yeti) akin to Nvidia’s GeForce Now, hardware that will facilitate the streaming platform, and courting game developers.
