The Meizu Note 9 has been in the rumors since quite some time. The handset has already bagged necessary approvals from 3C and TENAA authorities in China. Today, Meizu has confirmed through its Weibo account that the Meizu Note 9 will be made official on March 6.

The Meizu Note 9 launch poster does not reveal any information on its specifications or features but only confirms the March 6 launch date. The design of the phone has been confirmed through its TENAA appearance. The TENAA images of the phone show that it is equipped with a waterdrop notched screen to offer users with a larger screen space.

The Note 9 will be arriving with an FHD+ display of 6.2 inches. The smartphone is fueled by the Snapdragon 675 SoC and 6 GB of RAM. The handset will be drawing power from a 4,000mAh battery. Meizu had included 18W mCharge rapid charging technology on the Meizu Note 8. Hence, the Chinese manufacturer is expected to make the same feature available on the Note 9.

The Flyme UI based Android 9 Pie OS will come preloaded on the device. It will be equipped with an internal storage of 64 GB. However, there is no support for external storage on the handset. The front notch of the phone will be housing a 20-megapixel selfie snapper. The back panel of the phone features an LED enabled dual camera setup. It will include a 48-megapixel main sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. The Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 sensor which is also available on the Redmi Note 7 will be present as the primary lens on the device.

Rumors surrounding the Meizu Note 9 have claimed that the phone will be costing around 999 Yuan (~$149) which indicates that it will be a worthy rival for the Redmi Note 7. However, by the time it arrives, Redmi may also announce the Redmi Note 7 Pro that is expected to come with features like in-display fingerprint reader, Snapdragon 675, 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor in its dual camera setup, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage.
