Last year, Huawei had announced the first generation of MateBook X Pro laptop at the Mobile World Congress and this year, the company has introduced the second-generation of MateBook X Pro at MWC 2019 in Barcelona, Spain.

Along with the MateBook X Pro, the China-based company has introduced a new MateBook 14 and MateBook 13. All the three laptops announced at the event are running Microsoft‘s Windows 10 Home operating system.

Huawei MateBook X Pro

The MateBook X Pro is similar to its predecessor in terms of design and the company says that it keeps all the good things of the previous model. It comes with a CNC machined metallic unibody with a premium sandblasted finish.

It features a 13.9-inch LTPS Ultra FullView touch screen with 3.2 aspect ratio and 3K (3000 x 2000 pixels) screen resolution. Under the hood, it packs up to 8th-generation Intel Core i7-8565U and Nvidia GeForce MX250 GPU.

For cooling, the device houses an intelligent system that switches between active and passive modes for silent cooling performance, while the two Huawei “Shark Fin Fans 2.0” feature larger fins to produce a higher air output.

The MateBook X Pro also packs four speakers (two tweeters + two woofers) with Dolby Atmos sound. As for the ports, it comes with two USB Type-C ports, one USB Type-A port, and new Thunderbolt 3 port. It supports Wi-Fi 6 and has a fingerprint power button. There’s also a 57.4 Wh (7565mAh) battery onboard that supports 13 hours of video playback or 14 hours of office work.

Huawei MateBook 13, MateBook 14

The Huawei MateBook 14, as the name suggests, comes with a 14-inch FullView display with 3:2 aspect ratio and 2160 x 1440 pixels screen resolution. It is powered by an 8th generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor (8265U or 8565U respectively), an optional NVIDIA GeForce MX250 discrete GPU, up to 16GB RAM, and up to 512GB of onboard storage.

The Wi-Fi speeds can reach a maximum of 1733Mbps and the device supports Bluetooth 5.0. It has a 57.4Wh battery which offers up to 10.5 hours of web browsing, 14 hours of office work, or 15 hours of video playback, according to Huawei’s lab testing.

It also has a metal body and a full-size keyboard and Huawei’s “Shark Fin Design 2.0” for 18% cooling efficiency. There are dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support, one USB-C port, two USB-A ports (2.0 and 3.0), a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an HDMI port. The web camera is recessed in a key for privacy and there’s also a fingerprint power button.

Huawei MateBook X Pro

On the other hand, the Huawei MateBook 13 has a 13-inch 3:2 FullView display with 2160 x 1440 pixels resolution, with the option to opt for a 10-point multitouch display. Under the hood, it packs up to 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor paired with up to Nvidia GeForce MX150 GPU.

It comes with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB SSD. Other features of the laptop include two USB Type-C ports, fingerprint power button, 3.5mm audio jack, two speakers with Dolby Atmos, and a 41.8 Wh (3,670mAh) battery. It also comes with Huawei Share 3.0 software helps users transfer data between PCs and Android smartphones.

The Huawei MateBook X Pro is priced at €1,599 for the Core i5 + 8GB RAM model and €1,999 for Core i7 + 16GB RAM model. On the other hand, the MateBook 13 starts at €999 and goes up to €1,399 and the MateBook 14 will cost €1,199 for the Core i5 model and goes up to €1,499.

All three laptops will be offered in Mystic Silver and Space Gray colors while MateBook 14 will also be available in Pink Gold color. MateBook X Pro and MateBook 14 goes on sale in April while the MateBook 13 will be available later this month.
