LG has a number of entry-level and mid-range series but a lot of them are usually exclusive to its home country of South Korea. One of such phones is the LG X4+ which launched in early 2018. A new report has revealed it will be getting a successor this year called the LG X4 (2019).

Details of the LG X4 (2019) was found in the Android Enterprise Device Catalog and it includes some key specs. The phone will have a 5.7-inch display, which is significantly bigger than the 5.3-inch screen of its predecessor. There is no mention of the display resolution.

There is 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage but the processor isn’t specified. The LG X4+ is powered by a Snapdragon 425 processor which is pretty old already. Our guess is that the new model will come with a newer processor in the Snapdragon 400 series, maybe the Snapdragon 429. LG may also surprise us and use a MediaTek chipset.

The LG X4+ launched with Android Nougat out of the box but its successor will run Android 8.1 Oreo. Not the latest but surely better than Android Nougat. There is a fingerprint scanner and also NFC on board. The spec sheet also says it has support for Zero-Touch support which further confirms it is an Android Enterprise recommended device.
