The OPPO Reno smartphone is scheduled to go official on April 10 in China. The camera samples snapped through the same smartphone had appeared on Weibo recently to reveal its 10x zoom camera prowess. Well ahead of its launch, juicy details on the variants of the OPPO Reno along with its price tag have surfaced on Weibo.

OPPO Reno Specifications and Variants

According to a fresh leak, the OPPO Reno will be featuring a 32-mgeapixel Sony IMX510 front-facing camera with f/1.7 aperture. Sony is yet to confirm on the existence of the Sony IMX510 sensor. The triple camera setup of the Reno will include 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 as the primary sensor, a 120-degree super wide-angle secondary sensor and a telephoto lens with 10x loseless zoom with 16mm – 160mm focal lengths. The main sensor will support f/1.7 to f/2.4 variable aperture like the OPPO R17 Pro. The telephoto lens will offer the same variable aperture.

Coming to the display of the phone, the OPPO Reno is expected to com equipped with a Dynamic AMOLED display screen that carries support for full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and HDR10+. It will come equipped with sixth-generation in-screen fingerprint scanner that is said to be 15 times better than optical fingerprint scanner solution found on the currently available smartphones. The display will be shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass 6. The phone will come equipped with an x-axis motor instead of z-axis that will deliver an experience like using a physical button.

The back panel of the phone will be also sporting Gorilla Glass 6 and it will come with 7-series aluminum alloy. The thickness of the device will be less than 8mm and it will be available in gradient color options.

The OPPO Reno will feature 4,065mAh battery that will be equipped with support for 50W Super VOOC fast charging. The Snapdragon 855 SoC will be powering the different variants of the phone. The phone will be available in three models such as 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 10 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. The CPU of the phone will be assisted by super ice cooling technology, claims the source.

The OPPO Reno will be available in a 5G model. It is expected to come equipped with 12 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 256 GB. The Snapdragon 855 mobile platform with X50 LTE modem will enable 5G connectivity on the device.

The leak reveals the existence of OPPO Reno Lamborghini version. It will come packed with 5,000mAh battery and it will be arriving in two models such as 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage. This model will be featuring a liquid metal body.

The OPPO Reno Light Deluxe Edition is another variant of the phone that will be fueled by Snapdragon 675 chipset. It will include a triple camera module with a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor, a 120-degree super wide-angle lens and 5x loseless zoom telephoto lens.  It will be available in two models such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. It will include AK377A audio chip and sixth generation in-screen fingerprint sensor. The rest of its specs will be same as its regular version.

The launch event of the OPPO Reno phone is almost a month away. There is no confirmation on whether the aforementioned details are true. Hence, it is advisable to digest the report with a grain of salt. Also, the Bluetooth SIG authority had recently certified the Snapdragon 710 SoC edition of the phone. However, the new leak has no information on the SD710 OPPO Reno variant.
