Yesterday, Xiaomi had launched the Snapdragon 855 powered Black Shark 2 gaming phone in China. Few hours ahead of its unveiling, Nubia General Manger Ni Fei shared six key features of the upcoming Nubia Red Magic 3 through a Weibo post. He also hinted that the company’s next gaming phone will be made official in April.
The Nubia Red Magic 3 will be equipped with liquid + air cooling technology. The translated of his Weibo post suggests that the device will be equipped with a turbo fan. It remains to be seen whether it is a cooling fan feature for which the company had received patent approval recently.
The Red Magic 3 will be coming with the industry’s strongest mobile processing platform and highest operating RAM. This indicates that the smartphone will be driven by Snapdragon 855 and 12 GB of RAM. The display of the Red Magic 3 will be offering far better refresh rate than gaming PCs. This suggests that the phone may deliver a high refresh rate of 120 Hz like the Razer Phone. Also, the phone will be come with enhanced eye protection features.
The Nubia Red Magic and Red Magic Mars smartphone are packed with 3,800mAh batteries. The upcoming Red Magic 3 will include a larger battery than what powered the predecessor models. Finally, the smartphone will offer better gaming experience through the improved 4D vibration motor and haptic feedback.
There is no information on the specifications of the Nubia Red Magic 3 smartphone. It will be arriving to rival with the Black Shark 2 that went official yesterday with a starting price of 3,199 Yuan (~$476). The Red Magic 3 may hit the market with similar pricing.
