Huawei will launch its new P-series smartphones today at 2:00 pm CET (9:00 pm Beijing Time) in Paris. The new Huawei P30, P30 Pro and P30 Lite are set to succeed the Huawei P20 series. The Chinese electronics manufacturer could also unveil new smartwatches, wireless charging charger and much more at the event.  Interested users who can’t make it to the launch event can watch its live stream from Huawei’s official YouTube Channel. Details about the three new devices have surfaced via numerous reports and leaks. Recently, Huawei P30 retail box appeared just before its launch sporting a waterdrop notch and minimal bezels.

Huawei P30 series pricing details:

According to a recent report, Huawei P30 series – P30, P30 Pro, and P30 Lite will cost heftily. Huawei P30 will start retailing at EUR 749 (roughly translates to 5681 Yaun), for the 6GB RAM/ 128GB internal storage. Its elder sibling, Huawei P30 Pro could start at EUR 999 (~7578 Yuan) for 6GB/128 GB version, and its 8GB/256 GB storage will go for EUR 1099 (~8337 Yuan). There’s no information about the P30 Lite pricing.

Both the devices – P30 and P30 Pro will be coming in four color editions such as Midnight Black, Breathing Crystal (White), Aurora (Green) and Amber Sunrise.

Huawei P30 series expected specifications

Huawei P30 and P30 Pro are highly likely to feature Kirin 980 Soc featuring dual NPUs, 7nm process for effective AI processing and better efficiency. Both phones house the same 32 megapixels front camera for selfies and video calling. Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box will be present with a customized skin on the top. The usual connectivity features such as dual SIM support, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB-C, NFC, and GPS will be available on the device. As like its competitors, Huawei is also expected to ditch 3.5 mm audio jack.

The P30 Pro is expected to carry some advancements over its standard version. The device is said to have quad rear camera setup consisting a 40-megapixel f/1.6 primary camera, a 20-megapixel wide-angle lens, an 8-megapixel sensor with 10x zoom and a ToF depth sensor.

Meanwhile, the P30 will have three cameras – 16 MP wide-angle lens + 40 MP f/1.8 aperture primary camera with OIS, and an 8 megapixel 10 X zoom lens offering f/2.4 aperture.

Huawei P30 Pro will come with a 4200 mAh battery, and P30 with a 3650 mAh battery. Both the phones will support fast charging technology with a 40W charger.

The P30 is likely to debut in 6GB/128GB storage variant while the P30 Pro to come with 8GB/512 GB internal storage variant too. A nanoSD card slot will be available on the device for extra storage.
