Xiaomi has today announced the all new Mi Notebook Air 12.5 (2019) in China. Since it is powered by 8th-generation Intel processor, it delivers significantly improved performance than the previous generation. The 12.5-inch Mi Notebook Air is now available for pre-orders in the home market with a starting price of 3,599 Yuan (~$536).

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 12.5 (2019) sports a thin profile of 12.9mm and weighs only 1.07kg. The portable device comes with a full metallic body built with surface sandblasting processor. In a bid to offer the notebook with a minimalist design, the device not feature the logo of the company. The entire body of the laptop has a smooth feel and it comes in two color choices such as gold and silver.

The 12.5-inch screen of the laptop produces 1080 x 1920 pixels. The display is surrounded by thin bezels of 5.71mm and it is equipped with a full-size backlit keyboard. The device features Harman full-range speaker that is coupled with professional DTS surround sound technology.

The Mi Notebook Air 12.5 (2019) offers a long battery life. However, the exact capacity of its battery is not known yet. The laptop can gain 50 percent battery power by charging it for 35 minutes. Lastly, Intel’s 8th generation M3 and i5 processor powers the different variants of the Mi Notebook Air 12.5.

The base model of the Mi Notebook Air 12.5 (2019) with M3 processor, 128 GB storage and 4 GB of RAM is priced at 3,599 Yuan (~$536). The other M3 processor variant with 256 GB storage and 4 GB of RAM costs 3,999 Yuan (~$596). There is a higher model with Intel Core i5 processor, 256 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM. It carries a price tag of 4,299 Yuan (~$640). The reservations of the Mi Notebook Air 12.5 (2019) have started in China. Its sales will kick off from March 28.
