There are some manufacturers that are yet to update even their most recent flagships to Android 9 Pie (yes, I am looking at you LG) while others like Huawei are rolling out the update to their older phones. Last month, the Mate 9 series got the update to Android Pie. Now the update is rolling out to the Huawei P10.

The update began rolling out to the device in China earlier this year but is now arriving on the international variant. It is pretty heavy at 3.14GB but you get a ton of new features including a redesigned UI, faster launch times, and an overall improvement in performance. The update also brings new features to the Recorder app and the Huawei Share app. However, there is no info on the security patch version.

The Huawei P10 launched in March 2017. It sports a 5.1-inch IPS-NEO LCD display with thick bezels at the top and bottom. The chin is home to the fingerprint scanner and the entire front is covered in Gorilla Glass 5. There is a Kirin 960 processor under the hood paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of storage.

There are dual cameras on the rear – a 12MP f/2.2 sensor and a 20MP monochrome camera with 2x zoom. It also has an 8MP selfie camera. Other features are a 3200mAh battery with support for 22.5W fast-charging, NFC, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The P10 launched with Android Nougat out of the box. With the arrival of Android Pie, which will probably be its last major update, owners can hold on to it for a little longer.
