It’s always crucial for social messaging apps to continuously evolve and match the users’ demands. WhatsApp also follows the same regime to bring new features and advancements. A new WhatsApp beta build recently added various new changes such as improved Audio Preview UI, facility to Block or Allow ‘Forwarded Messages’ in Groups, and iPad support on iOS.

To curb fake news spread, WhatsApp introduced ‘Forwarded Messages’ settings in the latest beta. WhatsApp group administrators will be able to access the new feature under the group settings. To resist users from sharing the forwarded messages in a group, the administrator can disallow ‘Frequently forwarded messages’. The new feature to reduce fake news spread is limited to Android build.

A new audio preview or audio picker UI is also spotted in the latest WhatsApp beta build. It allows users to preview the audio and album art of the audio file before sending. Increased limit of sending 30 audio files at a time is also present along with the refined look.

Furthermore, the new WhatsApp iOS Beta version arrives with iPad support. WhatsApp is testing multiple features including 3D Face Unlock for native iPad support. Some screenshots from tracker WABetaInfo appeared showing the new iPad UI with redesigned elements and multitasking view support while in the landscape mode.
