The Honor V20 and Honor Magic 2 both run Magic UI 2.0 and not EMUI. Honor has revealed a new update which will arrive as Magic UI 2.1 and it will soon begin rolling out to both devices. The main feature of the update is GPU Turbo 3.0 which debuted on the Huawei P30 series.

GPU Turbo 3.0 brings support for more popular games which will be able to run at a higher frame rate and also consume less power. Huawei says power consumption has been reduced by 10% and supported games are now 25, up from 6.

Magic UI 2.1 brings more than just gaming features. The new update will allow users to unlock and control supported cars. It will also bring support for AI wake-up function which will let you activate the AI assistant by a single touch of the power button.

The new update will also have a feature called Dual-SIM Dual Switching. When active, the phone will automatically switch the default SIM to the other when it notices the signal is poor. Magic UI 2.1 will also bring support for AR measurement using the ToF camera on both phones. There is also an AI video-editing function coming along with the update and a new health tracking feature which allows you to connect your phone to a treadmill. The phone will record key data such as calories burned, distance, speed, and duration.

Magic UI 2.1 will be available as a public beta by the end of this month while the stable update will begin rolling out in May.
