China-based smartphone manufacturer Meizu has confirmed that the company’s upcoming smartphone Meizu 16s will be launched in its home country on 23rd April. Ahead of the phone’s official launch, the company has already started taking reservations for the device.

Now, the company has shared a poster online which reveals that the smartphone’s camera configuration. It confirms that the Meizu 16s will come with a 48 MP Sony sensor as a primary camera and will also support OIS. Further, the company’s CEO and Chairman add that the phone will also come with an optical anti-shake feature.

Meizu 16s Camera Details

The smartphone has been leaked quite a few times, revealing all the major specs and features of the smartphone. As per the leaks, the smartphone will be featuring a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2232 x 1080 pixels but it is expected to come without any kind of a notch on top of the display.

The phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor and will pack 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. We expect the phone to have other memory variants as well.

The device will come with a triple camera setup on the back panel, consisting of a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor. On the front side, the phone will be featuring a 20-megapixel snapper.

In a recent Antutu benchmarking score, the device posted a score of 37,4190, making it one of the top performing Android smartphones. Based on the scores, the phone surpassed the Xiaomi Mi 9 and the Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition.

The smartphone is expected to be running Android 9 Pie operating system with the company’s own Flyme OS 7.3 custom interface on top. The battery is 3540 mAh and can be topped up through the 24W fast charger included in the box.

Launching on 23rd April in China, the Meizu 16s is expected to be available in three color options — White, Black, and Gradient Blue. To know for sure what’s up the company’s sleeves, we’ll have to wait for the official launch event.
