Last month, OPPO had introduced the OPPO Reno and Reno 10x Zoom Edition smartphones in China. Within few weeks after the launch, 91mobiles had revealed that the Chinese manufacturer will be launching OPPO Reno series in India by June end. The same publication has today shared a leaked poster for the Indian market. It reveals that the OPPO Reno phones will be launching in India on May 28.
OPPO, Vivo and OnePlus are smartphone brands that belong to China’s BBK Electronics. While OPPO seems to have planned May end launch for its OPPO Reno series launch in India, OnePlus will be debuting the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro smartphones on May 14. It is speculated that that the iQOO flagship phone will be also coming to India in June. Since they are all powered by Snapdragon 855 mobile platform and carry similar specs, these brands may end up rivaling with each other in Indian market.
OPPO Reno Specifications
The OPPO Reno standard edition phone has a 6.4-inch notch-less OLED screen shielded by Gorilla Glass 6. The display is embedded with an in-screen fingerprint reader. The smartphone is fueled by Snapdragon 710 mobile platform.
The rear shell of the phone features a 48-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup. A selfie snapper of 16-megapixel with LED flash is placed inside a “shark-fin” shaped pop-up camera module. The handset includes a 3,765mAh battery that carries support for 20W VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge. The OPPO Reno variants such as 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage are respectively priced at 2,999 Yuan (~$440; Rs. 30,790), 3,299 Yuan (~$484; ~Rs. 33,870) and 3,599 Yuan (~$528; ~Rs. 36,970). It comes in four colors such as Ocean Green, Jet Black, Nebula Pink and Pink Mist.
OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition Specifications
The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition is a flagship smartphone powered by Snapdragon 855 mobile platform. It features a notch-less 6.6-inch AMOLED display that supports full HD+ resolution. Its protected by Gorilla Glass 6 and it is equipped with an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
The 48-megapixel + 13-megapixel + 8-megapixel triple camera setup of the smartphone carries support for 10x optical zoom and 60x digital zoom. It also features a 16-megepixel pop-up selfie snapper. Its packed with a 4,065mAh battery supports 20W VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge. Ocean Green and Jet Black are the two color editions of the phone. It is available in three variants in China such as 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. They are respectively priced at 3,999 Yuan (~$586; ~Rs. 41,060), 4,499 Yuan (~$660; ~$46,190) and 4,799 Yuan (~$704; ~$49,272).
