Tomorrow, Redmi will be announcing the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro as its first K-series flagship killer smartphones. Rumors surrounding both phones have revealed that the Redmi K20 could be an upper mid-range phone while the Redmi K20 Pro will be featuring the advanced Snapdragon 855 SoC. The Redmi K20 series will be made official tomorrow at 2 PM (local time) in China. Redmi had recently announced the Redmi 7A smartphone. However, the company did not confirm on its price at its launch. Apart from launching the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro phones, the Chinese firm will be also revealing the price tag of Redmi 7A. It is speculated that the Redmi 7A may carry a price tag of 599 Yuan (~87).

Rumors have it that Redmi K20 and K20 Pro phones will bear a lot of similarities. Both phones will be arriving with identical design. The Redmi K20 and K20 Pro will be the first Redmi phones with notch-less screens and pop-up selfie shooters. The K20 Pro is expected to come with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display that will carry support for full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It will be equipped with 7th generation in-screen fingerprint reader. Recently seen images of the Redmi K20 Pro have revealed that the chin of the device as well as its other bezels are very thin. The Redmi K20 is expected to feature the same display and screen fingerprint sensor.

The 7nm Snapdragon 855 mobile platform is expected to power the Redmi K20 Pro with up to 8 GB of RAM. Its highest configuration model may feature up to 128 GB of storage. There is no confirmation on whether it will be lacking a microSD card. The Redmi K20 could be fueled by the latest 8nm Snapdragon 730 mobile platform with up to 8 GB of RAM. It may also come with up to 128 GB of storage. The MIUI 10 based Android 9 Pie OS will come preloaded on both smartphones.

The Redmi K20 Pro will be featuring a triple camera system with Sony IMX586 48-megapixel lens as the primary sensor. It is speculated that the camera setup will include a 13-megapixel superwide lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. The handset will carry support for 960 fps super-slow motion video recording. For capturing selfie shots, it may arrive with a 20-megapixel pop-up front camera. The Redmi K20 is expected to come with the same triple rear lenses and elevating camera.

The Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 are both going to feature 4,000mAh batteries. The K20 may support 18W fast charging whereas the Pro model may come with 27W rapid charging. The other features that are rumored to be available on the Redmi K20 series include dual-frequency GPS technology, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-F, Bluetooth, NFC and 3.5mm audio jack. The Chinese firm is expected to sell various kinds of cases for the Redmi K20 series. According to a Polish blog, the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro will be respectively releasing Xiaomi Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro smartphones in Poland.

A leaked poster of the Redmi K20 Pro that had surfaced in the previous week had revealed that it would be arriving in variants like 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and these models could be respectively available for 2,599 Yuan (~$377), 2,799 Yuan (~$406) and 2,999 Yuan (~$435). The Redmi K20 Pro could be also available in 8 GB RAM + 256 GB edition.

Probably, the Redmi K20 may also arrive in same variants and it could be priced between 1,999 Yuan (~$289) and 2,499 Yuan (~$362). The Redmi K20 series will be available in Carbon Black, Flame Red and Blue color variants. The Redmi K20 is up for reservations in the home market.
