HTC has announced that it will have an event on June 11 where it will unveil a new smartphone. The announcement was made by the official HTC Taiwan Facebook page earlier today.

HTC Taiwan June 11 event

The poster doesn’t reveal any key info about the device but the text on it roughly translates into “ New device, let’s play e”. We have a feeling this phone might have some gaming features based on that.

There are speculations that the launch is for an HTC device with model number 2Q7A100 which has been certified in Taiwan and been spotted on Geekbench. The phone is said to have a Snapdragon 710 processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a display with an 18:9 aspect and a 1080 x 2160 resolution. It will also have dual front-facing cameras and run Android Pie.

The NCC documents also show the device will keep the bezels and not join the notch or punch hole train.
