The OnePlus 7 is getting another update just a week after getting one. The last update brought features like Fnatic Mode and DC Dimming, but this new update focuses on camera improvements and brings a new security patch.

The new update arrives as OxygenOS 9.5.5 and is 125MB in size. Below is the complete change log:

System
  • Updated Android security patch to 2019.5 (May).
  • General bug fixes and improvements.
Camera
  • Improved overall contrast and color performance.
  • Improved accuracy and stability of autofocusing.
  • Improved clarity and color of Nightscape.
  • Improved brightness and clarity in extreme low-light scene of Nightscape.

OnePlus itself hasn’t announced the update is available as it has only rolled it out to a select few. Once it is announced, it should roll out to more users. Those who have received it have praised the camera performance and say there is a very noticeable difference in the picture quality.

Last week, OnePlus also released a new update for the OnePlus 7 Pro. That also brought significant improvements to camera performance. According to a OnePlus staff, the update is actually the build that was used for DxOMark’s camera test. The OnePlus 7 Pro has a DxOMark score of 111 points, it shares the third spot with the Honor 20 Pro.

The OnePlus 7 is already available for sale in India, China, and Europe. It has a 6.41-inch AMOLED screen with a waterdrop notch. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 855 processor, up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Its front-facing camera is a 16MP sensor and on the back is a 48MP + 5MP dual camera combo. The phone also has an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, NFC, and a 3700mAh battery with 20W fast-charge.
