ZTE is rolling out a new update for ZTE Axon 10 Pro featuring a significant camera improvement. According to the ZTE’s customer support officer, the latest update brings 20X hybrid zoom support for the device’s rear camera. The company also published sample photos taken from the ZTE Axon 10 Pro’s 20-megapixel rear wide angle lens in normal shooting mode.

The ZTE didn’t reveal any detail on how they achieved the new zoom levels. However, the digital zoom appears to be stretched for attaining the 20X zoom levels on the ZTE Axon 10 Pro.

Initially, the device was released with 5x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom. It carries a triple rear camera module featuring a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 20 MP wide-angle lens and another 8-megapixel telephoto lens. On the front, there’s a 20-megapixel camera for beautiful selfies and video calling. There’s a 6.47-inch curved full-HD+ display having the resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. ZTE Axon 10 pro is powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with 6/8 GB RAM and 128/256 GB internal storage. There’s also a top end variant featuring 12 GB RAM and 256 GB inbuilt storage.

It is retailing in China at the starting price of 3199 Yuan (~$463) for the 6GB+128GB variant whereas the top model with 12GB+256GB storage goes for 4199 Yuan(~$608) from JD.com and some other retailers both offline and online.
