The Galaxy A50 is one of the new phones that launched this year following Samsung‘s revamp of the A-series line. A new update is rolling out to the phone that brings some interesting features.

The update comes as version A505FDDU2ASF2 and is a little over 400MB in size. The changelog actually only says the Security Patch has been updated to June 2019 and that the stability of Knox Guard has been improved. However, those who have updated their devices say there is more.

First, the update brings Night Mode to the camera app, allowing you to take better photos in low-light conditions. It also brings Super Slo-Mo video recording. Another feature is the ability to scan QR codes right from inside the camera app.

According to someone who has installed the update, you have to reset the camera settings to get these new features.

If you have not received the update yet, do check System Update under the phone settings and check for new updates.

The Galaxy A50 is powered by the Exynos 9610, which is actually a 7-series Exynos chipset. It has a 6.4-inch AMOLED Inifnity-U display which has a fingerprint scanner underneath it. The A50 comes with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage. It packs a 25MP selfie camera and 25MP + 8MP + 5MP triple cameras on the back. It also has a 4000mAh battery.
