Last year, Finland-based HMD Global launched the Nokia 6.1 smartphone in India. Initially, the phone was available in just one variant packing 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Later, the company also launched a new variant with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of onboard storage.

The base model of the Nokia 6.1 was being sold for Rs. 8,999 (~$) 131in India, almost half of its original launch price of Rs. 16,999 (~$248). Now, the company has slashed the price of the smartphone in India by Rs. 2,000 (~$29).
