Earlier this month, Huawei had confirmed that it will be launching the Mate 20 X 5G smartphone in July. The smartphone has already made its way countries like the U.K and UAE. Recent reports have revealed that Huawei may announce the Mate 20 X 5G smartphone in China on July 26. An invite that reveals July 26 launch date for the smartphone has been spotted today.
The Huawei Mate 20 X 5G launch invite shows that it will be announced at 2:30 PM on coming Friday in China. There is no information available yet on the pricing and availability of the smartphone. The device will be available through China Unicom operator in the country.
Huawei Mate 20 X 5G Specifications
The Huawei Mate 20 X 5G smartphone is equipped with a 7.2-inch OLED display. The waterdrop notch enabled display carries support for full HD+ resolution. The Kirin 980 chipset is present under the hood of the device. The Balong 5G modem is available on the phone for 5G connectivity.
The Mate 20 X borrows the Mate 20 Pro’s triple camera setup that comprises of a 40-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor and a 20-megapixel lens. For capturing selfies, it possesses a 24-megapixel selfie snapper. The EMUI 9.1 based Android 9 Pie OS runs on the device.
Through the TENAA certification of the Huawei Mate 20 X 5G smartphone it has been revealed that it will be arriving in RAM variants such as 6 GB, 8 GB and 12 GB and storage editions like 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB. The regular Mate 20 X has a 5,000mAh battery that is equipped with 22.5W fast charging. However, because of the 5G modifications inside the device, the Mate 20 X 5G has a smaller battery of 4,200mAh capacity. To make up for this deficit, it will be featuring faster 40W fast charging technology. Also, it will come with dual-SIM slot that will offer 5G connectivity on one SIM and 4G support on the other SIM.
Ahead of the launch, a hands-on video of the Mate 20 X 5G smartphone has also been spotted.
The Mate 20 X 5G is not the only 5G Huawei phone coming to China. Recently, the Mate X foldable phone with 5G support was also spotted on TENAA with full specs. Probably, the Mate X could be hitting the Chinese markets in the coming month.
