Xiaomi has launched a new product under the Youpin crowd funding platform. The product name translates to Zhibai three-layer hydrating hair dryer, which claims to be able to blow silky water and light hair, priced at 799 yuan ($115).
In terms of appearance, the Zhibai three-layer hydrating hair dryer adopts jellyfish purple color matching, and the surface is covered with anti-dirty hand paint. The sleek design won the German Red Dot Design Award.
The Zhibai three-layer water-cooling hair dryer uses an innovative three-layer water-cooling wind known as water ion technology. This is different from the traditional negative ion hair care technology as water ion technology can not only reduce hair frizziness like negative ions, it can also give the hair plenty of moisture, deeply nourish the hair, tighten the scales, and make the hair more shiny and beautiful.
For hardware, it uses an high-performance, high-speed motor that delivers powerful wind power, output 1.6m per minute, and fast dry hair. The 6-wing airfoil blades are dynamically balanced and debugged, and the professional design of the rectifying blades makes the wind large and not dry, and the air blown out is more comfortable.
In addition, it features a cold and hot air duct, NTC smart temperature control technology to avoid thermal damage to the hair, as well as an outer ring cold air duct which reduces the body temperature, tighten the scalps. There is equally a double-layer magnetic shape air nozzle, 360° free rotation, heat insulation and anti-scalding.
The hair dryer is presently available on Xiaomi Youpin website for crowd funding with a price tag of 799 yuan. The exercise has been a huge success so far. The device will adopt a retail price of 1299 yuan ($188) after the crowdfunding exercise.
