In July 2018, Taiwan-based HTC had left the Indian smartphone market. The company has re-entered the Indian market with the launch of HTC Wildfire X smartphone. It is a mid-range phone that comes with a tall aspect ratio display and triple rear cameras. It has arrived with a starting price of Rs. 9,999 (~$140).
HTC Wildfire X Specifications and Features
The HTC Wildfire X houses a 6.22-inch IPS LCD display with waterdrop notch. It produces HD+ resolution. The smartphone delivers an impressive screen space of 88.8 percent. The Helio P22 chipset is the driving force of the smartphone and it comes with up to 4 GB of RAM. For storage, the phone offers up to 128 GB of native storage and a hybrid SIM slot for adding a microSD card.

The triple camera setup of the HTC Wildfire X has a primary lens of 12-megapixel, a telephoto lens of 8-megapixel with 2x optical zoom and a depth sensor of 5-megapixel. The dual-tone LED flash assisted triple camera sensors promises better low-light photography experience and 8x hybrid zoom. Placed on the frontside of the smartphone is a wide-angle 8-megapixel selfie camera with 86-degree field-of-view.
When it comes to design, the rear shell of the phone has a 3D OPVD mirror finish which gives an attractive appeal. The handset has a thickness of 7.95mm. The other features of the Wildfire X are rear-positioned fingerprint scanner, Android 9 Pie OS, Wi-Fi, dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS, USB-C and 3.5mm headphone slot. Lastly, the smartphone has a ‘Mybuddy’ security feature that automatically activate loud alarms in emergency situations apart from sending live location to family and friends. The said feature can also send real-time audio and video of the surroundings.
HTC Wildfire X Price and Availability
The HTC Wildfire X has arrived in two model such as 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. They are respectively priced at 10,999 (~$154) and Rs. 13,999 (~$196). These handsets will be exclusively available for buying through Flipkart starting from Aug. 22. Sapphire Blue is the sole color of the smartphone.
For a limited period, the aforementioned Wildfire X models will be available with reduced pricing of Rs. 9,999 (~$140) and Rs. 12,999 (~$182). The smartphone comes with 1-year warranty. Also, buyers will be able to take advantage of 6 months no-questions-asked accident damage protection along with a complimentary pick and drop service.
