Sharp seems set to launch a new smartphone under its Aquos line. The phone which will arrive as the Aquos V will be powered by the Snapdragon 835, the chipset that powered flagships released in 2017.

Sharp Aquos V Taiwan NCC

First reported by DealnTech, the phone has received its Bluetooth certification and has also been certified by Taiwan’s NCC agency. The NCC document reveals the phone’s model number is SH-C02. It also includes a sketch that shows the phone will have dual rear cameras arranged vertically and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. This image includes a label that reveals it is called the Sharp Aquos V.

The Geekbench listing reveals more details of the phone which was benchmarked back in June. The Aquos V will run Android 9 Pie out of the box and have 4GB of RAM. The Bluetooth SIG certificate says it will have Bluetooth 5.0.

There are unconfirmed reports it will have an FHD+ display (display type and size unknown), 64GB of storage, 13MP dual rear cameras, and a 3120mAh battery.

Sharp is scheduled to announce the Aquos R3 flagship in Taiwan on August 16, there is a chance the Aquos V may also be announced on Friday.
