Last week, Realme had introduced a new variant for the Realme X in China. It features 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Starting from today, Realme X fans in China can avail the new model.

The Realme X 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage editions is priced at 2,099 Yuan (~$298). Punk Blue and Steam White are the two color variants of the smartphone. The new variant will be selling alongside other models of Realme X such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage priced 1,549 Yuan (~$219), 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage that costs 1,399 Yuan (~$199) and 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage that carries a price tag of 1,299 Yuan (~$183).

The Realme X is fitted with a 6.53-inch AMOLED display that offers a notch-less design. It offers full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels along with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The marvelous display of the phone is integrated with an in-screen fingerprint sensor. There is Gorilla Glass 6 protection for the display. The Snapdragon 710 chipset is present under the hood of the device.

The 3,765mAh battery of the Realme X supports 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology through USB-C. There is no microSD card slot on the device. The rear side of the smartphone features a dual camera setup that includes Sony IMX586 48-megapixel primary lens that is coupled with a 5-megapixel lens for adding depth effects. It has a pop-up selfie snapper of 16-megapixel.

In related news, Realme will be launching the Realme 5 series of smartphones in India tomorrow. The series is expected to include Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro smartphones. Some reports have claimed that there will be advanced version of the Realme X phone called Realme X Pro. It is expected to arrive with quad rear cameras with 64-megapixel primary lens. The handset could be fueled by Snapdragon 855+ SoC. There is no concrete evidence that support the rumored specs of the Realme X Pro and its moniker. Hence, it is advisable to wait for further reports to know more on it.
