The company has disclosed on its Weibo page that the sales of the Redmi Note 7 series have hit 20 million units. Coming barely seven months after the Redmi Note 7 went on sale, this feat is monumental. The figure encompasses all units sold all over the world and not just in China. As of May, the company had already sold over 10 million units, according to official data. The poster thanks all the 20 million users of the Redmi Note 7 smartphone and also hinted that it is now time to move to the Redmi Note 8. Apparently, the Chinese tech giant has an announcement to make tomorrow about the Redmi Note 8 as the post ends with the words “see you tomorrow”. No, the company isn’t likely planning to announce the Note 8 tomorrow. Rather, Redmi may announce the launch date of the Redmi Note 8. Lei Jun has already hinted at an August 29 launch date.
