The Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro are shaping up to be really interesting devices. Some features have been confirmed such as the processor which is the new MediaTek Helio G90T. We also know the primary rear camera is a 64MP sensor paired with three other cameras.

Today, Redmi has released some promotional materials that highlight the camera prowess of the phones.

The first poster shows a cross-section of the phones’ rear cameras sensors. While the focus is on only three, we can see there is a fourth sensor to the right of the triple camera setup. This fourth sensor is rumored to be a ToF sensor.

The caption for this poster talks about how the cameras on phones have greatly improved in the last two decades. Back in 1999, phones had a single camera that could only take 0.1MP photos. Twenty years later, phones have four rear cameras and can shoot 64MP photos.

Another poster talks about the ultra-clear image quality of the 64MP sensor. The camera sensor is said to have a very high detail such that you can zoom in up to 25 times and still have a clear image.

The last promo poster mentions the 64MP primary camera’s resolution – 9248 x 6936, which is nearly double 8K resolution, 7.7 times that of 4K UHD, and 25 times the resolution of 1080p FHD.

The Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro will be announced on August 29 in China alongside the 70-inch Redmi TV.
