The Redmi Note 8 will be coming with big changes when compared to its predecessor, the Redmi Note 7. The biggest physical change you will notice is the rear cameras which are now four in number – double that of the Redmi Note 7. Today, the official Redmi account has revealed the camera configuration of the Redmi Note 8.

The Redmi Note 8 will come with a 48MP primary camera which will be paired with a super wide-angle camera, a depth of field camera, and a super macro camera. No, the fourth camera is not a ToF sensor.

The Redmi Note 8 will also have a different camera design from that of the Redmi Note 8 Pro as seen in the image above. The quad cameras are arranged on the left side of the phone and not in the middle like that of the Pro version. The poster also reveals the phone will be available in a white-blue gradient color variant. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back even though it isn’t very visible in the image above.

The Redmi Note 8 will have a Snapdragon 665 processor under its hood. It will launch alongside the Redmi Note 8 Pro and the Redmi TV on August 29.
