Realme launched its new smartphones in India last week — Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro. Now, the Realme 5 smartphone is all set to go on sale in India for the first time today. It will be available through Flipkart and Realme.com.

The Realme 5 comes in three variants — 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, costing ₹9,999 (~$139), ₹10,999 (~$153), and ₹11,999 (~$167) respectively. The device comes in two color options — Crystal Blue and Crystal Purple.

The smartphone comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The company claims that it features a 30 percent reduced notch and offers a screen-to-body ratio of 89 percent.

Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor, making it the first device in the Indian market to be powered by this chipset. It comes with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. There’s also a dedicated microSD card which enables users to further expand the phone’s storage capacity.

As for the camera department, the phone comes with a quad-camera setup consisting of a 12-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel portrait lens, and a 2-megapixel ultra-macro lens. On the front side, there’s a 13-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling. The photography features of the Realme 5 include nightscape mode, Chroma Boost, PDAF, 240fps slow-motion video shooting and 4K video shooting at 30fps.

Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, a GPS/ A-GPS, a3.5mm headphone jack, and a Micro-USB port. The smartphone is running Android 9 Pie operating system out-of-the-box with the redesigned ColorOS 6.0 user interface on top. There’s a fingerprint sensor on the back panel for added security. The handset is powered by a massive 5,000mAh battery.
