Honor has today confirmed that it will be announcing the Honor 20S smartphone in China on Sept. 4. The Chinese firm has also started the reservations of the smartphone. The handset seems to be the YAL-AL50 / TL50 Honor phone that was recently approved by TENAA.

The first poster shown below states that the Honor 20S will be available for reservations starting from today. The other poster confirms the Sept. 4 launch date. The handset shown in the hands of the Chinese celebrity is the Honor 20S. The smartphone does not feature a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and it is equipped with a vertical camera module that includes three lenses and an LED flash.

Honor 20S Reservations

The Honor 20S is probably the YAL-AL50 / TL50 phone that had appeared with full specifications and images. The rear image of the YAL-AL50 / TL50 matches with the phone shown in the above poster. The specifications of the phone suggest that it is a lower version of the Honor 20 flagship phone that was announced few months ago.

The only major difference between the Honor 20 and Honor 20S seems to be in the camera department. The Honor 20 has a quad camera system while the Honor 20S has a triple camera setup on the rear. The TENAA listing of the phone has revealed that it is equipped with a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera setup.

The other specs of the Honor 20S seems to be same as Honor 20. It features a 6.26-inch IPS LCD display with punch-hole design. It supports full HD+ resolution. The 2.6GHz powers the smartphone could be the Kirin 980 chipset. It seems to feature a 3,750mAh battery. The handset may come with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of native storage. For shooting selfies, it has a front camera of 32-megapixel. It is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint reader. The Honor 20S is expected to come with 20W fast charging technology. The Honor 20 supports 22.5W rapid charging. As of this writing, there is no information on the pricing of the Honor 20S.
