Ahead of IFA 2019 in Berlin next week, Lenovo has announced two new tablets in its M-series — Lenovo Tab M7 and Lenovo Tab M8. Both the devices come with built-in Kid’s Mode 3.0 that offers rich and customised kids’ content for children under 12 years of age.

As per the company, when the kids pick up the tablet, it will be switched directly to their kids’ account, which features a child-friendly interface with access to games, built-in applications, videos, audio and books that offer educational content in 44 languages.

The devices also come with parental controls to limit children’s usage time. Both the devices’ display are also TÜV Rheinland certified for eye protection and comfort and the eye-protection mode is automatically turned.

The Lenovo Tab M7 comes with a 7-inch WSVGA display. Under the hood, it is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8321 chipset for the Wi-Fi model while the LTE model is powered by MediaTek MT8765B chipset.

The tablet packs 1/2 GB of RAM and 16/32 GB of internal storage with support for expandable storage of up to 128GB. The 1GB RAM model of Tab M7 is running the Android Pie (Go Edition) while the other model runs standard Android 9 Pie operating system. It features a 2MP camera on the back and a 2MP front-facing snapper.

Connectivity options on the device include 4G (Optional), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack. It also comes with a front-facing speaker and is powered by a 3,450mAh battery that offers up to 10 hours of video watching or browsing.

As the name hints, the Lenovo Tab M8 comes with an 8-inch display but the company is offering two options for the screen resolution — HD (1280 x 720 pixels) and Full HD IPS (1920 x 1200 pixels) with 350 nit brightness.

The device is powered by 2GHz Quad-Core MediaTek Helio A22 12nm processor with IMG PowerVR GE-class GPU. It come with 2/3 GB of RAM and 16/32 GB of internal storage. There’s a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing snapper.

Coming to the connectivity options, it supports 4G (Optional), Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS. It also comes with 3.5mm audio jack and Side Speaker tuned with Dolby Audio. The device runs Android Pie operating system and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with up to 12 hours of video watching or 18 hours of browsing.
