Huami Technology was established in 2014 as a manufacturer of wearable devices. The company is well-known as the maker of the popular Mi Band series from Xiaomi. The Xiaomi-backed Chinese company recently got listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) where it raised $110 million. With more capital comes more innovation. In recent times, the outflow of smartwatches from Huami has increased as a result of the capital inflow. A couple of days back, the Amazfit GTS, Amazfit Sports Watch 3 and a concept Amazfit X were unveiled at an event in China. This happens to be the third product launch from the company within the last three months. Earlier on we saw the company launch the Amazfit Verge 2 and later on the Amazfit GTS.

During this last launch event, Huami announced some of its financials for the second quarter of the year and also gave an insight to its journey since inception. The company revealed that it has so far sold a whopping 100 million smart wearable gadgets so far worldwide. That should make Huami the top-selling brand in terms of wearables. Further, the company hinted that its revenue for Q2 2019 exceeded 1 billion yuan. This represents a year-on-year increase of 36.6%. In addition, the company shipped over 8.3 million units during the period, an increase of 53.7% YoY.
