Alongside the new Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphone, Redmi also announced a refreshed version of its notebook called simply as the RedmiBook 14 Enhanced. The new generation model starts at the same price as the first-generation RedmiBook 14 but offers the latest 10th generation i5 and i7 processor options. Naturally, given the competitive price tag, the RedmiBook 14 Enhanced edition has garnered tremendous popularity in China.

In fact, Redmi announced earlier today that the notebook has managed to receive over 1.5 million bookings for its first sale scheduled for September 6 across all sales channels in China. This is a pretty big deal considering the booking isn’t free. Only users who are ready to shell out 100 Yuan (~14) are eligible for the sale.

RedmiBook 14 Enhanced version’s popularity isn’t surprising. Starting at just 3999 Yuan ($557), the notebook offers the latest 10th generation Core i5 processor with 8GB RAM, 512GB Storage, and NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics. The top-end version comes with Core i7 for just 4999 Yuan (~$697). At this price, you get a 14-inch FULL HD anti-glare display with narrow bezels, HDMI and USB 3.0 ports, a large battery which can last up to 10 hours and fast charging which charges up to 50% in 35 minutes.
