Samsung is currently working on upgrading its range of smartphones in the budget segment, by introducing several new ‘S’ variants of popular devices in the Galaxy A and M lineup in the second half of the year. The latest entrant is the Galaxy A20s, which popped-up recently during TENAA certification. The model number of the upcoming A20s is SM-A2070, and the device is very similar to the Galaxy M30 in terms of external aesthetics. Also, 91mobiles has shared the specs sheet of the phone to reveal the key specs of the phone.

The Galaxy A20s leak by the publication has revealed that it features a 6.49-inch Infinity V-display with a waterdrop notch housing the front camera. It is powered by the same 14nm 1.6GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 7884 SoC found on the Galaxy A20. The smartphone gets 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage, which is expandable up to 512GB with a microSD card. The leak has no details on the camera specifications at the moment, but images from the TENAA listing show that it is equipped with a vertically-mounted triple camera layout with an LED flash.

The Galaxy A20s draws power from a 3,000mAh battery, which is a bit of a letdown considering the A20 had a 4,000 mAh battery. There is no word on fast charging capabilities yet. The Galaxy A20s runs on Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G LTE, Bluetooth V4.2, USB charging port and a 3.5mm AUX port. The smartphone sports a dedicated rear panel-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The leak further reveals that the smartphone has an accelerometer, light sensor and proximity sensor. The volume and power controls are on the left side of the device. According to the TENAA listing, the Galaxy A20s measures 163.31 x 77.52 x 7.99 mm. The handset may come in two color options, namely black and blue. There is no information on when Samsung plans to launch the device globally. But the device recently passed the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi certification, meaning that the launch date is right around the corner.
