The OnePlus TV is all set to get launched later this month, and it’s possibly one of the most hyped we’ve been for a non-smartphone product in a while. There are so many rumors flying around about the device that it’s impossible not to get excited about it. Naturally, OnePlus are more than happy to stoke those flames further with the announcement of the Gamma Color Magic, a dedicated picture chip that debuts in the upcoming OnePlus TV.

The announcement was made by OnePlus CEO Pete Lau over on Twitter. Pete claims that the Gamma Color Magic chip will “bring you best-in-class image quality on our customized #QLED TV panel with widest color gamut.” We’ve even embedded the tweet below for all of your viewing pleasure.

It’s safe to say he’s fairly proud of it, but what exactly this entails we’re still not too sure. The details regarding the chip are vague at best, and combing through the tweet doesn’t really give us any answers other than that it’ll give improve the image quality. That’s a fairly empty statement, but we don’t think OnePlus would proclaim something like that lightly.

If you’re interested in finding out more about the OnePlus TV, there’s a full list of leaked specs over here. From what we know, the TV will feature  a 55-inch QLED display, as well as a MediaTek MT5670 chipset and a heavily customized version of Android TV OS 9. It will launch first in India and Pete Lau says it will have a price tag that reflects it as a premium device.
