Tipster Digital Chat Station says OnePlus does not plan to update its small-screen phone for now. That means a successor to the OnePlus 15T is not coming soon.

The tipster shared the news in a post today. He did not give a reason or a timeline. He only said you can expect a wide-screen OnePlus phone instead. He didn’t name a model or share any specifications. OnePlus has not commented. Treat this as a tip for now.

The OnePlus 15T remains the compact option

OnePlus’s most recent compact phone is the OnePlus 15T, which debuted in March. It succeeds the OnePlus 13T, which came out last year.

Here, you get a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and a 7,500mAh battery. The display measures 6.32 inches, and the phone sits in a body 71.82mm wide and weighs about 194g. OnePlus kept the bezels to 1.1mm on all four sides. That is how the phone stays narrow while keeping the screen size.

OnePlus compact phones halt

The camera on the 15T sits inside a cube-shaped metal module and houses a 50MP main and 50MP 3.5x telephoto lens. The front has a 16MP camera for selfies. Despite its compact size, the phone has a big 7500mAh battery with 100W and 50W wireless charging support.

The phone runs ColorOS 16 on Android 16 in China. It has an IP69K rating and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and NFC.

Unfortunately, though, the OnePlus 15T did not launch globally and remained China-exclusive. There, it starts at 4,299 yuan (~ $645) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model.

For now, the OnePlus 15T is the only small OnePlus phone on sale, even for users in China. We will update this story when OnePlus confirms any plans.
