OnePlus China President Li Jie says the OnePlus Ace 7 series is off to a strong start in China. The phones went on sale right after their launch yesterday, and Li Jie says the early numbers are “unstoppable.”
According to him, the OnePlus Ace 7 Pro reached 225% of the OnePlus Ace 6’s sales during its first sales period. He also said the OnePlus 16 and the OnePlus Ace 7 Pro took the top two spots for first-day Android phone sales in 2026. These figures come from OnePlus itself, with no independent data behind them. Li Jie has made similar claims before, such as when the OnePlus Ace 6T beat rival models’ full-day sales within ten minutes.

Li Jie also shared what he heard from shoppers at offline stores. According to him, buyers said they were drawn to the phone’s performance, 185Hz gaming refresh rate, ColorOS 17, and camera system. The latter combines a 200MP main sensor with a periscope telephoto lens. He also described the pricing as very competitive, adding that some discounts are available for a limited time.
Cooling and gaming hardware
The OnePlus Ace 7 Pro runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and OnePlus has added a cooling system to help the chip maintain performance during demanding tasks. The company calls it the industry’s first Dual-Path Glacier Cooling System, with one airflow path cooling the chip directly and another cooling the back cover.

The display is another feature the Ace 7 series shares with the OnePlus 16. All models use the fourth-generation Oriental Screen, a BOE panel with custom X4 luminescent material and an LTPO circuit. OnePlus detailed the display ahead of the OnePlus 16 launch, confirming support for refresh rates of up to 185Hz in supported games and 165Hz across the system.
OnePlus claims the Ace 7 series is the only performance phone in its price range with a system-wide 165Hz refresh rate. Unlike a high refresh rate limited to certain games, this applies to everyday use, including scrolling through menus and navigating the interface.
