After months of waiting, HMD Global Oy has finally announced a third-generation Nokia 6 at IFA 2019. The Nokia 6.2 brings new features and a new design that greatly differs from its predecessors.

Nokia 6.2 featured

The Nokia 6.2 has a 6.3-inch FHD+ PureDisplay. It has a dedicated PixelWorks display processor that converts whatever you are viewing from SDR to HDR. So rather than 17 million colors, the Nokia 6.2 can display up to a billion shades. The Nokia 6.2 ditches the thick bezels of its predecessor for a waterdrop notch and a slightly less thick lower bezel. It is covered in Gorilla Glass 3 on both sides.

The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 636 processor paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB, 64GB or 128GB of storage. It also has a MicroSD card slot for up to an additional 512GB of storage.

The primary camera is a 16MP sensor and it is paired with a 5MP depth sensor and an 8MP ultrawide angle camera. An LED flash is housed together with the sensors while a fingerprint scanner sits underneath. There is an 8MP camera in front for selfies.

The Nokia 6.2 runs Android 9 Pie out of the box with 2 years of Android updates and 3 years of security updates guaranteed. It also has a dedicated Google Assistant button. The phone will come with 3-months of Google One 100GB storage worth €1.99 per month.
