Huawei is scheduled to announce its second flagship of the year later this month but that doesn’t mean it has forgotten about its first, the Huawei P30 Pro. At its IFA 2019 event today, it announced new color variants as well as EMUI 10 beta based on Android 10 for the device.

Before announcing the new color variants, Huawei shared some sales figures too. According to the Chinese tech giant, the P30 series is the most popular P series ever. Huawei says it shipped 16.5 million units in 6 months and recorded a global sales growth of 53%.

The Huawei P30 Pro was originally announced in Aurora, Amber Sunrise, Breathing Crystal, Black, and Pearl White. The phone now comes in two new colors – Mystic Blue and Misty Lavender. The phone is still covered in Gorilla Glass on the rear but now has a dual finish. The top half has a glossy finish while the lower half which has a lighter shade has a matte finish. According to those who had hands-on experience with the new phones, they don’t have a dual-texture.

Huawei says when both color variants are available for purchase they will ship with EMUI 10 based on Android 10 out of the box. Current Huawei P30 Pro (and Huawei P30) owners can sign up to be a beta tester for EMUI 10 here.

EMUI 10 brings a new user interface and what Huawei calls an immersive mobile experience.
