Zhao Ming, President of Huawei’s sub-brand Honor, has announced through Chinese microblogging platform Weibo that the Honor has become the leading smartphone brand in Russia in terms of market share.

In the post, he seems to saying that the reason behind Honor’s success in the market is that it offers good quality and user experience. He also adds that the Honor 20 and 20 Pro are still leading the sales in Russia.

Honor 20 Pro is the company’s current flagship smartphone which was launched in China in May and made its way to Russia in July this year. It features a 6.26-inch All-View Display with the punch-hole housing a 32MP camera. It is powered by the Hisilicon Kirin 980 octa-core processor and comes in two variants based on memory configuration –8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB.

As for the camera department, the Honor 20 Pro features a quad-camera setup comprising a 16MP f/2.2 super-wide-angle camera, a 48MP main Sony IMX586 camera with an f/1.4 aperture. It also comes with an 8MP f/2.4 Telephoto lens and a 2MP f/2.4 Macro lens.

Zhao Ming has also revealed some information about the brand’s upcoming flagship smartphone — the Honor Vera30 series in the Chinese market which is also known as Honor V30 series for the global markets.

He has confirmed that the smartphone will come powered by the newly launched Kirin 990 5G chipset and will also come with 90Hz display. Apart from these, there’s nothing more known about this upcoming smartphone series at this time.

Meanwhile, Honor’s parent company Huawei is gearing up to launch its new flagship smartphones — Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro and the company has already scheduled a launch event for the same in Munich, Germany on 19th September.
