Earlier today, Realme launched its 64-megapixel totting Realme XT smartphone in India. The Realme XT features a quad-Bayer 64-megapixel shooter, a Super AMOLED display, and a glass-polycarbonate construction. While the announcement of this phone was quite something, the company also made another explosive announcement.

Realme’s India head, Madhav Sheth, revealed that Realme will be extending the upcoming Android 10 to a number of its popular devices available across multiple price segments. The company announced that the Realme XT, the Realme X, Realme 5 Pro, and Realme 3 Pro are set to receive Android 10 in the first quarter of 2020.

Revealing its Android 10 roadmap, the company also said that it will be extending this software to devices in the budget segment, including the Realme 5 and Realme 3i. However, the update will hit these devices in the second quarter of the year. Finally, we’ve got the Realme 2 Pro getting upgraded to Android 10 in Q3 2020.

Realme claims they plans to upgrade all its phones by the end of next year, but there are some pretty noticeable exceptions in the list. These few devices are completely missing from the list.

  • Realme 1
  • Realme 2
  • Realme C1
  • Realme C1 2019
  • Realme C2
  • Realme U1

It’s not very surprising to see the Realme 1 and Realme 2 is missing on the list, but perhaps the most surprising is the lack of the Realme C1 2019. That device was only released earlier this year, it’s surprising that it’s not getting the update any sooner. We hope they give us an update on these devices soon.
