I’ve said it time and again that Oppo subsidiary Realme is doing quite a great job with software updates, way better than its parent company. On top of observing timeliness with monthly security patches, Realme has also done a pretty decent job with major OS upgrades. Now, they’re on track with a brand new software update for the Realme 5.

Realme’s new update for the Realme 5 smartphone in is currently on rolling out in India. The update is being rolled out in stages and should reach all users in a couple of days. According to the official changelog from Realme, the update will include several improvements to the camera and Digital Wellbeing feature.

Among other improvements, the Realme 5 update improves the clarity and preview effect in the portrait mode and enhances the clarity in the HDR mode. The update also improves the effect of the primary rear camera in the zoom mode. Further, there are improvements towards the colour performance and clarity of the front camera and the colour performance of macro photography.

The changelog also mentions that the update will improve system stability. It brings firmware version RMX1911EX_11_A.13. This software update will hit all the Realme 5 devices gradually. The OTA is currently rolling out to a limited number of users. “If no critical bugs are found, the full rollout will be completed in the upcoming days,” the company said.
