Folks in Singapore will soon be able to purchase Huawei’s latest flagship Huawei Mate 30 Pro, though there are a surprising slew of caveats involved in the process.

First off, there’re only a limited number of Mate 30 Pros available — only 200 customers will be chosen to be part of an exclusive group who’ll be able to test out and purchase the phone in a private event. And if you do want to be one of the lucky few invited, you’ll have to first register your interest for the Mate 30 Pro on the Huawei website before Oct 16.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro

This variant of the Mate 30 Pro comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It will be available in Black and Space Silver, at a retail price of S$1298. Huawei said the Mate 30 Pro is an “exclusive model” with limited quantities in the region, and only 200 people will be selected at random to purchase the device at a private event this month.

Anyone who buys a Mate 30 Pro during these events are entitled to a bunch accessories worth S$463. These consist of the DJI Osmo Mobile 3 Combo, a wireless car charger, a phone case and a power bank. The phone will also come with services, such as door-to-door repair pick-up and delivery for a year, two-year warranty, and a free screen replacement within the first three months of purchase.

If you can get past the fact that you won’t be able to use Google apps and services (though the loophole suddenly reopened again), then the Huawei Mate 30 Pro is one of the best devices currently available on the market.
