Honor had launched the Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro smartphones in China in July. Later in the same month, Honor India President Charles Peng had revealed that the company will be debuting a new X series phone as the successor for the Honor 8X phone from last year. However, the Honor 9X series haven’t yet arrived in India. Honor is now gearing up for its global launch. It will be coming to Russia tomorrow and Netherlands on Oct. 24. Fresh information reveals that the India launch of the Honor 9X is drawing near.
The exact launch date for the Honor 9X smartphone in India is not known yet. It appears that the company that the Honor 9X Pro may not debut in the country. Last year, the Honor 8X had launched in India on Oct. 16. Hence, there is a possibility that the Chinese manufacturer may officially announce the Honor 9X in the country by the end of this month.
Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro Specifications
The Honor 9X features a notch-less IPS LCD display of 6.59 inches. It supports full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels along with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The Kirin 810 chipset powers the smartphone and it runs on EMUI 9 based Android 9 Pie OS. A microSD card slot is available on the device for additional storage. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner is available on the Honor 9X.
The Honor 9X has a 48-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera system on its rear. It is fitted with a pop-up selfie shooter of 16-megapixel. The 4,000mAh battery of the smartphone is equipped with support for 10W charging.
The Honor 9X Pro resembles the Honor 9X in design and specs. The only major difference is that it features an extra camera lens of 8-megapixel on its rear. Also, the Honor 9X comes with up to 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage whereas the Honor 9X comes with 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage.
In China, the Honor 9X is priced at 1,399 Yuan (~$197) for 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 1,599 Yuan (~$225) for 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 1,899 Yuan (~$268) for 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. On the other side, the 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage editions of the Honor 9X Pro are respectively priced at 2,199 Yuan (~$310) and 2,399 Yuan (~$338).
