OnePlus recently launched its second flagship smartphone of the year under its T-lineup, dubbed OnePlus 7T. Now, in a teardown video coming from JerryRigEverything, some interesting details have been revealed.

It shows that when the smartphone is opened, the ribbon connection of the components with the motherboard are surrounded by a red-colored rubber gasket. This basically makes the smartphone water-resistant.

This is interesting that the smartphone doesn’t come with a certification that claims that the device is waterproof. However, it has everything to make the smartphone water resistant, except for the IP ratings for certification.

The OnePlus 7T also comes with dual speakers at the top. Sometimes, when manufacturers claim stereo speakers, they just bump up the volume for the earpiece — Samsung and Apple both have done this. However, OnePlus is actually using two speakers when it is claiming stereo speakers. This brings the total speaker count on the smartphone to three.

Coming to the specifications of the OnePls 7T features a 6.55-inch 90Hz Fluid AMOLED Display with HDR10+, 2400 x 1080 pixels screen resolution, and 3D Corning Gorilla Glass on top for protection.

Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor and is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.0 2-lane storage. As expected, there is no support for storage expansion.

It has a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 48MP f/1.6 Sony IMX586 with OIS and EIS and a 7P lens paired with a 12MP f/2.2 telephoto lens and a 117° and a 16MP f/2.2 ultrawide angle lens. On the front side, it comes with a 16MP snapper for taking selfies.

Other features on the device include in-display fingerprint scanner, Face Unlock, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, a vibration motor with an advanced haptic engine, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. Running on OxygenOS based on Android 10, the smartphone is powered by a 3800mAh battery and brings Warp Charge 30T fast-charging technology.
