On July 30, Xiaomi had launched the Black Shark 2 Pro gaming smartphone in China. There is no word on the international availability of the smartphone. It appears that the smartphone could be soon debuting In India as it has received approval from the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) in India.

Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro BIS Certification

Above shown screenshot reveals that a new Black Shark phone with model number DLT-H0 has received BIS certification. The SKW-H0 model belongs to the global variant of the older Black Shark 2 phone. Its Chinese variant had SKW-A0 model.

Hence, it appears that the DLT-H0 model number belongs to the global model of the Black Shark 2 Pro. The model number of its Chinese variant is DLT-A0. With BIS certification in tow, the Black Shark 2 Pro may debut soon in India. Probably, the company may announce it in November in the country.

Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro Specifications

The Black Shark 2 Pro is an advanced version of the Black Shark 2 phone that was made official in India in May. The Black Shark 2 Pro comes with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with supports full HD+ resolution and has an in-scree fingerpint reader. The display supports 240Hz touch-sensing and DCI-P3 color gamut.

The improved 2.96GHz Snapdragon 855+ mobile platform powers the phone with 12 GB of RAM. There is no microSD card slot onboard, but the device is available in hefty UFS 3.0 storage choices of 128GB, 256GB and 512GB in China. The Android 9 Pie OS runs on the device along with Joy UI.

The rear side of the phone features Sony IMX586 48-megapixel + 12-megapixel (telephoto) dual camera system. Upfront is a 20-megapixel selfie camera. The device receives power from a 4,000mAh battery that supports 27W rapid charging. The design of the phone is inspired from Formula 1 racing car.

Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro Price

The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro price in India is currently under the wraps. Its 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB editions are respectively priced at 2,999 Yuan (~$424; ~Rs. 30,000), 3,499 Yuan (~$495; ~Rs. 35,999) and 3,999 Yuan (~$566; ~Rs. 40,000). Electric Black and Ice Ash are the two color editions of the Black Shark 2 Pro. The smartphone will be rivaling with Nubia Red Magic 3S gaming phone that has recently gone official in India with a price tag of Rs. 35,999 (~$508) for 8GB+256GB model and Rs. 47,999 (~$565) for 12GB+256GB variant.
