The Vivo Z5 launched in August as an upper mid-range phone. It was originally available in three colors – Forest Night, Aurora Illusion, and Holographic Illusion. Vivo has announced a fourth variant called Speed Phantom Blue and it is now available for purchase.

The new color variant is available in three configurations – 6+64GB, 6+128GB, and 6+256GB unlike the other three color variants that come in the above variants and a fourth variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The Vivo Z5 has a 6.38-inch AMOLED screen with a 1080 x 2340 resolution. Like several other phones released this year, it has a waterdrop notch and it is home to a 32MP selfie camera. The phone has a Snapdragon 712 processor under the hood which is practically a slightly faster Snapdragon 710 processor with enhanced gaming performance. There are three cameras on its back – a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP 120° ultrawide angle camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.

Vivo has included an in-display fingerprint scanner, a dedicated Jovi Assistant button, and a 4500mAh battery with support for 22.5W FlashCharge fast charging technology. There is dual-SIM support but no slot for storage expansion. You also get an audio jack, a USB Type-C port, and Bluetooth 5.0. The Z5 ships with Android Pie out of the box.
