In July this year, Chinese display manufacturer Visionox disclosed that it was shifting its focus to the manufacture of OLED panels for smartphones and smartwatches. It was later revealed after the Mi Mix Alpha launch that the immersive curved display used on the device was supplied by Visionox. It has now emerged that the Mi CC9 Pro’s display was also supplied by the Chinese display maker. 
This was made known by Xiaomi’s Liu Anzhen which is the Deputy General Manager of Touchscreen division of Xiaomi’s Mobile phone. The Mi CC9 Pro features a curved AMOLED display which is curved at the front and back sides.

The exec expressed is appreciation to the team that worked together to bring out the display. Xiaomi and Visionox’s cooperation is also said to extend to the Mi foldable phone that is in development.
Visionox has its roots from the strong OLEDs project team of Tsinghua University, one of the most prestigious universities for science and technology in the world. The brand’s OLED panels are expected to find their way into smartphones from other top brands like Huawei from next year.
