At a live-streamed show to officially begin its Single’s Day (11-11) shopping festival, Honor’s CEO, George Zhao, revealed that its upcoming flagships, the Honor V30 series, will launch on November 26.

Mr. Zhao also confirmed that the entire series will have support for 5G which hints at a higher starting price than its predecessor, the Honor V20.

Honor V30 launch date

While 5G support will translate into an increase in the price, the Honor V30 series is expected to come with impressive cameras. It has been reported that the series will be the first to feature what is called “Camera Matrix” technology which is a new algorithm.

Actually, this is not the first time we have come across the name as Huawei filed a trademark application for Camera Matrix and Cine Lens back in July. Cine Lens or rather, a 40MP ultrawide Cine Camera did appear on the Huawei Mate 30 Pro a few months after the filing. This camera is responsible for the Mate 30 Pro’s ability to shoot ultrawide videos in 4K at 60 frames per second and is also responsible for its 7680fps slow-motion recording.

The Mate 30 Pro is currently at the top of DxOMark’s list of phones with the best camera performance. If Camera Matrix is as good as it is being reported, we may see the Honor V30 or Honor V30 Pro battle for the crown.

It has been reported that the Honor V30 will have a punch hole LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is expected to have a 4000mAh battery with support for 22.5W fast charging while the Honor V30 Pro will have support for 40W wired fast charging and 15W wireless fast charging. The primary camera on both phones has been reported to be a 60MP sensor.
