Samsung holds a dismal market share of less than 1 percent in China’s smartphone market. However, the company has been actively launching new phones in the country. It has recently launched the Galaxy W20 5G and Galaxy Fold foldable phones in the market. Today, the South Korean company has confirmed its Android 10 roadmap for its smartphones and tablets in China.

Samsung Android 10 Roadmap for China

The Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10e will the first phones to receive the Android 10 upgrade in January 2020. In February, the Galaxy A40s, Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ 5G will be updated to Android 10. In March, the Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will be provided with the Android 10 upgrade.

In the second quarter of 2020, the Galaxy A90 5G, Galaxy A50s, Galaxy A80, Galaxy A60 and Galaxy A9 Star phones will be upgraded to Android 10. The Galaxy A70, Galaxy Fold, Galaxy M30s, Galaxy A9 Star Lite, Galaxy A9 Star (carrier variant), Galaxy A9 2018 and Galaxy Tab S6 will be receiving the Android 10 update. The new version of Android will come to Galaxy S and Galaxy W2019 flip phone in June.

The Galaxy A20s, Galaxy A6s and Galaxy Tab S4 will be provided with Android 10 update in July. In August, the Galaxy Tab A and Galaxy Tab S5e will the new Android edition. The upgrade will be made available for Galaxy Tab 10.5 2018 and Galaxy Tab A with S Pen in September. The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 will be updated with Android 10 in October.

The Android 10 update for the aforementioned devices will be skinned with the latest One UI 2.0. The company has claimed that the arrival of Android 10 for the above listed devices may vary depending on the development progress, test results and location. The older flagship phones such as Galaxy S8 and Note 8 will not be receiving the Android 10 upgrade. The upcoming Samsung phone such as Galaxy S11 series, Galaxy Note 10 Lite, Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 are all expected to deliver Android 10 out of the box experience.
