Vivo already debuted Vivo V17 Pro smartphone in September this year and the device has already got price cuts in some markets. Now, the company is gearing up to launch the standard model of the lineup, Vivo V17 in India.
We recently reported that the company could launch Vivo V17 smartphone in the Indian market on 9th December. Well, the company has sent out media invites for the launch event on 9th December and has today confirmed that the phone going official at the event is indeed Vivo V17.
The smartphone has already gone official in Russia recently but the Indian variant of the device will come with a different design. While the Russian variant has a waterdrop display, the Indian variant will reportedly come with a punch-hole display.
As for the cameras, the device will come with a diamond-shaped quad-camera setup on the back which will feature Samsung GM1 48-megapixel primary lens, along with an 8-megapixel secondary sensor and two 2-megapixel camera sensors.

On the front side, inside the punch-hole display, the device will come equipped with a 32-megapixel snapper and as per the reports, the phone will offer Super Night Scene not only for its rear cameras, but also its front camera.
The other expected features of the Vivo V17 include 6.38-inch S-AMOLED display with in-screen fingerprint reader, Snapdragon 665 chipset, 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage and 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. It will come loaded with FunTouch OS 9.2 UI based Android 9 Pie OS.
The Vivo V17 is expected to cost around ₹22,000 (~$306) in India. In Russia, the phone is available in color variants like the Cloud Blue and Fog Blue and expect similar offering in the Indian market as well.
